New year social media reform

In a conversation I had earlier with my cousin I realized that starting this new year off with a clean slate is important....she told me that she plans to delete her main twitter page and use a more grown up page, where she can talk to people who have similar interest and viewpoints as her.
It took me a minute to understand where she was going with it but I am always constantly reminded of the dumb shit I run across on twitter. Yall will get on twitter and tweet some of the most ignorant shit I have ever heard..... Lets stop broadcasting our shortcomings people and our lack of depth....and if you fail to understand what my previous statement means then this applies to you more than likely.
I am pleased with my friends/followers on my social media guilty pleasures... the majority of the time, I have some great people that I follow that are insightful and hilarious which pretty much sums me up....and yet we get the few who slip in there with their ignorance..those are usually the ones who deceive us into thinking they are about something but really are not....the same people that complain about you talking about real shit or retweeting inspirational or encouraging things. I remember during the election seeing people I followed complain about people talking about the election....that is a deal breaker and grounds for an unfollow... If you know me you know I stay politically aware and up to date with what is going so if you don't care that's fine but don't say ignorant things to emphasize how much you don't care...it just makes you look dumb as a bag of bricks.
Anyways to keep this short lets move into the new year with a new mindset about or social media post and the kind of energy we are putting out in the atmosphere....lets still laugh about dumb stuff but lets also talk about important stuff...no one cares about the weed you smoking or the girl you screwing or better yet for that matter how you like to have sex....better yet lets retire throwback Thursdays, titty Tuesday, twitter after dark, and these damn number/rating games....SHATTT!

Racism Still Alive... thriving on Social Networks

In the midst of all that is going on in this country right now I felt it necessary to write this post.
I am appalled at the level of ignorance in America. I feel that today even in spite of us overcoming and achieving the top most prestigious honor of having a black President, there is still this racism lingering around putting a bad taste in everyone's mouth!

I look back in history at all the things that people had to endure to get us rights, equality, and even just for "black" to be socially acceptable. And now even in 2012 we still are being attacked with racial undertones.
Social media has given a lot of people a voice that they truly don't have otherwise. They get to hide behind twitter or facebook and say shit that they normally wouldn't dare say out loud. LOOK, this is it... let me tell you first hand that your social media site (whether it be twitter, facebook, you tube, whatever) is suppose to be a direct reflection of you, stop saying stuff for show!! I tweet things that give you insight into who I am as a person, no need to lie for a RT or more followers. I'M SO FUCKING TIRED OF PEOPLE PERPETRATING ON TWITTER ACTING LIKE SOMETHING THEY AREN'T.  OR BETTER YET.. THEY HAVE BEEN LIVING THEIR LIVES AS A LIE AND NOW THEY HAVE THE "COURAGE" TO BE THEM VIA INTERNET! HAVE A DAMN SEAT PLEASE!!!!
 Yes it is your page and you should have the right to state your opinion on your page. But some folks have gone too damn far!

One of my favorite things to watch on Youtube is a web series called The Mis-Adventures of Awkward Black Girl! It is a great show funny, witty, and I can relate to it! But to make a long story short she won a Shorty Award for it! (YAYYY she deserves it) However, the backlash from her winning that Shorty Award was crazy, people on twitter talking about "I can't believe I lost to a niggerette", and "of course the black one wins"! WTF excuse me! Read her response here!!!

Another example, I was having a conversation last night with one of my male friends and we had this same discussion about how people get this "courage" to say ignorant shit via twitter. He was telling me about The Hunger Games (and no I haven't read the book or seen the movie) but he was telling me how the book described some of the main characters and how they came out in the actual motion picture. He talked about how people were so outraged that one of the main characters was portrayed in the movie by a black girl! He told me that in the book though she was described as having a darker complexion, so he couldn't understand why so many people were so bothered by the casting choice! I take it that this girls character was a major one in the story and I was told that she had a very powerful, moving death scene that made a lot of people very emotional when reading the book. But the same people who were balling in tears reading the book, went to the movies and saw she was black & had the audacity to say "oh she's black oh I don't care anymore about her dying" and "damn why did they make her character black"! ARE U KIDDING ME!  Oh so because she doesn't look like you her death is of no importance or loses value! This is the problem... This is why there is a dead 17 year old in Florida in a coffin, in a grave while his known killer is chillin!

Ignorance is running rampant in this country and it needs to be stopped. Assumptions, racial profiling, stereotyping... All of it is ignorance!  I didn't even know how many people in this country felt the way they feel about black people... Don't be fooled there are a lot! "Racism still alive they just be concealing It"... A famous line by Kanye West and I believe it more than ever today. Even right now with all of the tension in the country over the Trayvon Martin situation people still don't see the error in their ways. We are ALL people, we all bleed red blood and breath oxygen! God made us visibly different but not to tear us apart or to have dumbass racist use twitter to be passive aggressive. If you have an issue with black people don't hide behind your social network account...regardless of your issue, you are still wrong... WE ARE ALL CREATED EQUAL! A person with an ignorant perception can only see what they want! Maybe if some people's perception was different Trayvon Martin would still be alive. CHANGE! Live Love Learn!

Cry me a River..... Casey Anthony Trial

I'm over Casey Anthony's trial ALREADY!!!!

Like I suspected her of being guilty back when she was out partying and taking pictures and posting them on Facebook. She has to be by far the dumbest person ever right now. And her Defense Attorney has to be the dumbest two lawyers ever.

So the trial has begun and the Defense has stated that the child drowned in the family pool back in June of 2008. Casey didn't feel it necessary to report that hey it was an accident and she fell and drowned in the pool. No, she hid the body and didn't even bother reporting to the police that the child was missing until weeks after the baby had supposedly "drowned". During all of this she is lying telling people "oh she is at Universal Studios with the Nanny" and "Oh she is at my boyfriends house". BULLSHIT!

After she decides she wants to report Caylee missing (again 3 weeks after she "drowned") police take on a 3 to 4 month search for the "missing child". During all of this Casey is out clubbing, kicking it, taking pictures taking shots, kissing girls and stuff. REALLY BITCH?

So here it is day one of the trial and from the beginning of the opening statements the bitch is shown boo hoo crying from the things being said in the courtroom. Again REALLY? Where the hell were the tears at when they were searching for the child you reported missing, even though you knew she was dead? Where were the tears when you put that baby's body in damn Hefty bag wrapped in a Winnie the Pooh blanket? Where were the tears when you were out kickin it getting drunk all over Florida, while you had people out day and night searching for your already dead child?

This trial has been already named the Trial of the Century... Not in my book. This needs to end today, no need to drag out the inevitable. SHE IS GUILTY AND IS GOING TO JAIL. It would be wrong and unjust for the courts to let this trial go beyond this week without reaching a verdict. Reports say that the State has a pretty strong case, and we all remember the weeks and weeks of lies she told and the aftermath of all the sketchy behavior that Miss Anthony was displaying, which should be enough to convict her of Murder of her child.

Her legal defense is already pissing me off. First with this whole "drowned" story and then they want to bring in the accusation that Casey was sexually abused by her brother and father growing up which has caused her "emotional distress" causing her to react to the "drowning" of baby Caylee. #pause.. Come again now WTF!!!!!!!!! REALLY! Oh so now she is the victim! I'm shocked at her lawyers trying to run this whole psychological bullshit on us. If I were a Juror for this trial I would be appalled at the audacity of these lawyers trying to undermine my intelligence and ability to comprehend and put one and two together. I would honestly be pissed that the Federal court system is wasting my time with this BULLSHIT to begin with. I do not believe that there is anything that Casey Anthony's lawyers could say to change my mind and probably the majority of America's mind on her guilt... So let's just stop while we're ahead REALLY!
